An essay on prostitution constructed in two layers: four interviews and the interventions of four contemporary dance choreographers, who explore its formal dimension through movement.

Where do desires remain when they have been violently destroyed with impunity? When the body ceases to belong to itself, when the control of one's own skin is only a distant echo. The testimonies of former sex workers unfold the universe of prostitution in its crudeness: the street codes, the brothel slang, the shadows of a routine in which desire is a bargaining chip. Between their stories, choreographed images translate into gestures what words can barely contain. Contemporary dance artists embody with surgical precision the collision of bodies, the friction, the violence implicit in each transaction. A work that tears, confronts and offers no truce.
